Important skills for an Import and Export Manager include strong negotiation and communication skills, excellent organizational and planning abilities, and a good understanding of international trade laws and regulations. They should also be proficient in using logistics and supply chain management software. Relevant certifications may include Certified International Trade Professional (CITP), Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), or Certified Export Specialist (CES) certifications.
