Distribution Analyst Jobs in Ontario

A Distribution Analyst in the logistics industry is responsible for managing and optimizing the distribution of goods and supply chain processes. They ensure that products are correctly distributed to their required destinations in an efficient and timely manner. Their tasks include analyzing routing, carriers and shipping methods, managing inventory levels, forecasting supply and demand, tracking shipments, and generating reports on distribution operations. They also utilize their analytical skills to resolve distribution-related issues, enhance productivity, and reduce costs.

The Distribution Analyst position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. They must be proficient in supply chain management software and have a strong understanding of logistics and distribution systems. Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) can be beneficial. Prior to becoming a Distribution Analyst, an individual might hold roles such as Logistics Coordinator, Inventory Specialist, or Supply Chain Analyst.
