Warehouse Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Spokane, WA. This role is ideal for someone with recent warehouse and sit-down forklift experience who enjoys staying active, working with a team, and helping keep materials moving efficiently.

As a Warehouse Specialist, you will support shipping, receiving, inventory, order preparation, and general warehouse operations for a fast-paced environment connected to residential and commercial construction. Key Responsibilities

- Pick, prepare, wrap, stage, and organize customer orders and outgoing materials for shipment.
- Receive, verify, stock, and organize incoming inventory accurately and efficiently.
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely while moving materials throughout the warehouse and yard areas.
- Support multiple warehouse areas, including receiving, returns, pipe yard, and general warehouse operations.
- Read and follow work orders to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting team needs throughout the shift.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $38,000 to $44,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Lunch: 1-hour unpaid lunch.
- Location: Spokane, WA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Pick, stage, wrap, and prepare warehouse orders for shipment.
- Receive, verify, stock, and organize inventory.
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
- Support flexible warehouse functions, including receiving, returns, yard support, and general warehouse needs.

- 6 or more months of recent warehouse experience required.
- Sit-down forklift experience required.
- Ability to read and understand work orders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable bending, twisting, pulling, and standing for a full 8-hour shift.
- Reliable, team-oriented, safety-focused, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Quick learner with the ability to build product knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory.
- Experience working in a warehouse, yard, or materials environment supporting construction, building products, or related operations.
- Flexibility to assist in multiple warehouse areas as business needs change.
