Materials Planner Jobs in Minnesota

A Materials Planner in the logistics industry is responsible for ensuring the appropriate and timely supply of materials needed in the production process. They are tasked with forecasting material needs, inventory control, overseeing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers, among other duties. Important skills for a Materials Planner include excellent analytical abilities, strong organizational skills, and a keen understanding of supply chain management. Proficiency in database management and spreadsheet software is also essential. As for certifications, a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification is beneficial. Prior roles that provide relevant experience for a Materials Planner might include Inventory Coordinator, Purchasing Agent, or Supply Chain Analyst.
