Kelly Services is currently hiring Sit-Down Box Clamp Forklift Operators for immediate openings at a large 3PL distribution facility in Port Wentworth, GA 31407

Location:  Port Wentworth, GA 

Shift:  Monday-Friday  2 nd – 6:00PM-2:30AM 

Pay Rate:  $20.00 per hour

Overtime: MANDATORY AND REQUIRED  

 

Job Description

The Forklift Operator I is responsible for safely and efficiently operating material handling equipment  including Sit-down Box Clamp Forklift  to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role also includes order filing and checking duties, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring customer service standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

	
• Stack and store merchandise in designated areas using forklifts and related equipment.
  
  	
• Safely unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations.
  
  	
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring counts and types are accurate.
  
  	
• Perform picking duties according to customer service standards.
  
  	
• Move products from staging/storage areas into trailers.
  
  	
• Operate all equipment in a safe, efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  
  	
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security.
  
  	
• Assist in physical inventory and conduct cycle counts as requested.
  
  	
• Report safety concerns and inventory discrepancies timely to management.
  
  	
• Complete inspection forms before equipment operation.
  
  	
• Use RF scanning equipment for inventory accuracy.
  
  	
• Ensure proper stock rotation.
  
  

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory Skills

	
• High School Diploma or GED
  
  	
• Minimum 1 YEAR of recent forklift & warehouse distribution equipment experience.
  
  	
• Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours and lift/pull 50 lbs without restriction
  
  	
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
  
  	
• Able to work in environments with variable noise, lighting, and temperature conditions; facility is over a quarter mile in length
  
  	
• Availability to work irregular/extended hours—including nights, weekends, and holidays—as needed
  
  	
• Must be able to obtain a forklift certification
  
  	
• Attention to detail, basic math skills, and excellent customer service skills
  
  	
• Proficient with Excel and general computer knowledge
  
  	
• Basic safety understanding with equipment operation
