Starkey Hearing is hiring a SIOP Demand Planner at its global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining data, business insight, and strong cross-functional partnerships to build credible, forward-looking demand forecasts.

The position will partner with the Commercial and Supply Chain teams in the creation and management of the operational demand plan for Starkey by product type and part number in the planning system. This position will facilitate the SIOP process for assigned markets and products to gain consensus and ensure alignment in strategy between the supply and demand. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Support and sustain the standard demand planning process and systems.

  • Maintain accurate demand plans using strong analytics and collaboration with Commercial and Supply Chain teams
  • Drive global forecast reporting and record demand changes and assumptions
  • Perform the role of “super user” in the demand planning tools and be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems

Ensure the organization produces an updated monthly demand plan and adherence to deadlines.

  • Partner with assigned markets to ensure forecasts are in place that recognize demand for products required in the planning horizon with special emphasis on new products and end-of-sale forecasts
  • Own forecasts on ancillary items by incorporating historical data, trends, and input from Operations team to establish demand plan
  • Ensure the assumptions and action plans behind the forecast are documented and agreed upon
  • Assess and manage the impact of volume and/or mix changes to the demand plan to mitigate/minimize risk of creating trapped or obsolete material
  • Ensure that abnormal demand and market opportunities are effectively communicated and understood through the supply network

Assist in facilitation of demand review meetings for the market and provide the data and inputs for the global SIOP process.

  • Influence and obtain consensus on the demand plan while incorporating market intel and trends
  • Establish accountability for the demand plan with sales and marketing and ensure plans are agreed to each month by the managing director Communicate the key assumptions and changes in the SIOP meetings

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration or applicable experience.

Experience .

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP) or applicable field
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); Power BI experience a strong plus)
  • Experience developing and managing supply chain metrics to monitor forecast accuracy and identify areas for improvement
  • Experience with Supply Chain Planning systems
  • Proficient with Statistical Analysis
  • APICS CPIM / CIRM, CSCP, Lean / Six Sigma, and/or PMP certifications a strong plus

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

  • Business principles and techniques of administration and organization, including an in-depth understanding of the key business issues that exist in a global manufacturing and sales organization.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and technology to support supply chain functions. Understanding of systems use and configuration.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The target rate for this position is between $64,680 to $103,320/year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
