This position will be headquartered at 141 NW Barstow Street in Waukesha, WI. This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Waukesha State Office Building at least 2 days per week. Are you up for it? At WisDOT, you can Build the Future - NOW. Position Summary This position is in the Maintenance Section of the Southeast (SE) Region office. This position is responsible for the diverse duties related to the maintenance of the state trunk highway system and its appurtenances. The position collaborates with the region's maintenance engineers and coordinators on rehabilitation programs as well as maintenance and repair of roadways in all counties throughout the region. The position contributes to the region's planned maintenance and inspection program by performing the following: identify, locate, map, quantify, and inventory of roadways, safety apertures, culverts, and drainage features in all counties in Southeast Region. This position also independently recommends maintenance needs and repairs for preventative, routine, and emergency repairs of roadways. The work requires a high degree of independent judgment on complex technical concerns and sensitive issues. Position will serve as a Regional Incident Management Coordinator (RIMC) and requires being on standby 24/7 on a rotating basis. This position requires the ability to travel independently on a regular and routine basis throughout the assigned counties in the region. Fieldwork in all seasons, including adverse weather conditions and working in high volume traffic conditions is required of this position. This position also requires being on standby 24/7 on a rotating basis. Salary Information This position is in schedule-range (14-13) with an annual salary of $68,640-$91,520, plus excellent benefits . A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. Job Details This state agency does not sponsor work visas.
