Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Sr Principal Logistics Management Analyst based out of Port Hueneme, CA.
What You'll Get to Do:
Represent the interests of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Class Mission Package program, operating out of the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF) in Port Hueneme.
The Senior Principal Logistics Management Analyst oversees logistics operations across all MPSF sites. Key function of this position is to ensure the overall health of the LCS programs logistics function by managing resources, coordinating training, and serving as the primary liaison for internal and external customers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Set policies and procedures for logistics operations, aligning them with Navy regulations, industry standards, and NGC corporate guidance.
Manage and resolve conflict among internal teams, external customers, and contractors, escalating issues when necessary.
Attend cross functional meetings, delivering clear logistics direction and practical solutions to address customer-identified requirements.
Supervise and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics across all MPSF sites; generate periodic status reports for NorthropGrumman (NGC) and Government leadership.
Integrate learning from customer feedback, lessons learned, industry standards, and professional training to help improve logistics personnel and processes.
Assign work, balance workloads, and provide training to meet program demands and maintain mission readiness.
Collaborate with engineering, technicians, and maintainers to assess and address logistics requirements, ensuring seamless support for LCS Mission Packages and fleet readiness.
Integrate learning from customer feedback, lessons learned, industry standards and professional training to lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying process gaps and implementing corrective actions that enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
Oversee Navy logistics operations, including HAZMAT policy compliance, toolroom operations, material procurement, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and related support functions.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 8 years experience; or Master's Degree with 6 year's experience. An additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
Experience with the R-Supply and other Navy Supply system to include ordering, stocking, and issuing parts, materials, tools and equipment at the MPSF facilities and ships worldwide.
Certificate in HAZWOPER or similar HAZMAT training; understanding of policy requirements to include Naval, state, and federal requirements.
Experience in Navy logistics management.
Familiar with Microsoft Office suite of products, Adobe Acrobat and other programs required for generating DD-1149, DD-1348-1, DD-1348-6 and DD-250 forms.
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams. Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a track record of developing high performing teams.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities; adept at interfacing with Military and Government leadership.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, spot trends, and drive continuous improvement.
Ability to travel to other MPSF locations up to 20% of the year (this may include CONUS/OCONUS travel).
US Citizenship and an interim U.S. Government Secret clearance is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
A current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
Experience with HAZMAT procedures and ordering requirements.
Experience in material and maintenance systems used by the LCS program including R-Supply, OneTouch, IGC and MFOM Ability to generate and assign work, supervise shop safety programs, and distribute safety and maintenance bulletins.
Ability to conduct and report on technical review of work packages to ensure logistics requirements are included.
Familiarity with LCS (or comparable) logistics frameworks and MPSF operational environments is a plus .
