Production Manager

Industrial Manufacturing | On-site (Sharon, PA)

Salary: $90k-$110k DOE +/-

Position Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, production scheduling, process improvement initiatives, quality standards, inventory management, and employee performance within a production environment. This role ensures operational efficiency, safetypliance, product quality, and continuous improvement across all production activities.

Responsibilities

Promote and enforce all workplace safety procedures and standards within production, shipping/receiving, and maintenance operations

Participate in safety meetings and support continuous improvement of safety processes and procedures

Plan and coordinate production schedules, shipping activities, and delivery timelines

Assess production requirements, labor needs, and inventory levels to support operational goals

Monitor and manage shop inventory and material flow

Ensurepliance with quality control standards and production specifications

Support resolution of production and quality-related issues through corrective action initiatives

Maintainpliance with environmental, operational, and quality system standards

Oversee production processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness

Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, supply chain, distribution, sales, engineering, and leadership teams

Ensure standard operating procedures are followed consistently throughout production operations

Support equipment maintenance activities and coordinate routine operational upkeep

Cross-training employees to maximize production flexibility and workforce efficiency

Prepare and maintain operational and production reports, including weekly and monthly performance metrics

Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and performance management activities for production staff

Identify employee training and development needs to improve operational performance

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, or equivalentbination of education and experience

5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or industrial environments with supervisory responsibilities

Strong knowledge of production processes, inventory management, scheduling, and operational workflows

Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills

Stronganizational and time management abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Demonstrated leadership and team development experience

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments

Professional, dependable, and proactive approach to operations management

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field

10+ years of leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial operations

Experience with ERP systems, inventory management systems, and production reporting tools

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or ISO quality systems

Experience leading process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects

Familiarity with production equipment, maintenance coordination, and manufacturing workflows

Working Conditions

Manufacturing and production environment

May require occasional travel to customer sites or additional facilities

Physical Requirements

Ability to safely perform essential job functions inpliance with applicable workplace standards and regulations

Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance

Ability to move throughout a production environment and perform tasks consistent with operational requirements
