Job Description
Our Fresno Distribution site is seeking a Production Planner! We are seeking a motivated customer service team member to assist in the management of our day-to-day logistic activity. This position reports to the Site Operations Manager, working with sales team, partners with third party vendors, to provide reliable service to meet our customer’s need. Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of the Fresno to continuously improve cost and efficiency.
- Prepares plans for the day, releases work to ensure that Cutters have smooth flow of work, batch size is consistent, and distractions are minimal.
- Establish appropriate time fences for production, in collaboration with Sales.
- Schedule and manage optimization and manual production process. Manage and schedule work for operations associates.
- Support analysis and identification of replenishment items (MRP)
- Schedules cut packs for production considering promised date, delivery schedule, lead times, cutter capacity, product series and customer ranking.
- Utilizes optimizer tool to schedule and release production orders to Cutters. Makes all necessary changes to production orders before releasing to Cutters.
- Creates manual production orders per replenishment signals for full unit cuts.
- Work within computer-based logistics system for truck movements, and problem solve to bring trouble loads to resolution.
- Ensure customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to maximize sales, market share and profit for the company and customer.

- Provides leadership for operations associates in work scheduling, order release, schedule revisions, lead team meetings.
- Works to coordinate operations work schedule with needs of sales team by maintaining constant communications with

- Able to multitask without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse/yard layout
- Must be able to make quick decisions.
- Organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of SAP or similar manufacturing software applications
- Ability to prioritize workload based on customer and business needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong logic and mathematical skills
Preference:
- 2 years logistics experience or relevant degree and experience.
- Understands Lean concept
- Understands transportation needs (time constraints, equipment, drivers).
- Understands capacity of Cutters by product series.
- Microsoft applications (excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $53,000 - $80,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
