Purchaser Jobs in Washington, DC
A Purchaser in the logistics industry is essentially responsible for buying the best quality equipment, goods, and services at the most competitive prices. They conduct research, evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality. Prior roles they may have held include Procurement Clerk, Junior Buyer, or Supply Chain Analyst. These positions provide the necessary exposure to procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation, which are crucial for a career as a Purchaser.
