Your role

In this role of Purchasing Manager, you'll lead our procurement strategy, secure top-quality materials at the best value, and keep our supply chain running smoothly.

Your background and experience

• Proven ability to manage stock levels, prevent stock-outs/overstocks, and oversee ERP-based purchasing processes.
• Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Experience in process improvement and reducing lead times in purchasing operations.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, inventory control, and stock planning.
• Skilled in leading annual stocktakes, month-end processes, and budget/target setting.
• Knowledge of quality standards, health & safety, and environmental compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of supply chain operations, purchasing standard processes, and vendor management.
• Knowledge of dock scheduling and freight coordination.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics partners.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic problem solver with a focus on balancing customer satisfaction, stock availability, and working capital targets.
• Diligent with a dedication to accuracy in order placement, tracking, and reporting.
• CIPS level 4 certification preferred. Work experience accepted in lieu of certification.
