We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and implementing logistics facilities and equipment projects requested from engineers and operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity. Managing logistics facility improvement projects, working with cross functional teams and external vendors. Working with Vendors to create SOWs, vendor comparisons, and quotes. Provide project status update timeline, milestones, challenges, Project risk assessment & bottle necks. Facilities & Equipment procurement of material handling equipment for new vehicle launch programs. Manage and approve bid packages, vendor evaluation and summarizing of supplier bids, and making supplier selection recommendations.
You Will
- Material Flow Optimization
- Analyze current material handling systems and propose improvements to enhance workflow and reduce bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain material flow models and simulations to support decision-making and process improvements.
- Facilities
- Tracking logistics facility changes and request to implementation
- Tracking Logistics Facilities inventory and budgeting
- Cost Analysis and Management
- Perform cost analysis to identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities related to material flow
- Develop and manage budgets for material handling and logistics operations, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals.
- Prepare and present reports on cost analysis, budget variances, and financial performance.
- Track and manage MFE program funding including funds available, committed, and spent for material flow facilities and equipment budget.
- Implementing systems to help organize the Kaizen lab project tracking and inventory
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material flow efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to address issues and implement solutions.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma projects.
- Ensure facilities and equipment are procured & implemented in a timely manner.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to material flow processes and cost management.
- Generate regular reports on project timelines, budgets, roadblocks, to update leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all documentation and reporting activities.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate material flow activities and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, suppliers, and vendors, to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
- Provide support to team members on material flow processes and best practices.
- Warehouse
- Strategic planning and stratification of warehouse operations for current and future programs
- Conducting feasibility studies related to warehouse operations
- End-to-end warehouse project management
- Integration of warehouse and plant operations
- Planning and execution of warehouse launch, including hyper-care support
- Evaluation and planning of external warehouse solutions
- Forecasting to support operational efficiency and demand planning
- Ensuring successful warehouse launch and sustained operational performance
You Have
- High School Diploma OR GED
- 5+ years in logistics project management, warehouse operations, supply chain, or material flow engineering.
- Strategic Planning/ Project Management
- Develop & manage project timelines.
- Cross functional problem solving and self-guided skills.
- Demonstrated Equipment Acquisition Experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation experience
- A strong understanding of material handling and logistics operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
