We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator and Material Handler to efficiently move materials throughout our facility. This role requires handling odd-shaped loads and operating a forklift to lift beams up to 50 feet in length.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a forklift to transport materials, including I-beams and piping, throughout the facility.
+ Manage the movement of non-traditional materials, ensuring safety and precision.
+ Understand load points and maintain the center of balance while handling materials.
+ Work in an industrial metal shop environment, often exposed to weather elements during loading and unloading processes.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in operating industrial forklifts.
+ Experience with metal fabrication and material handling.
+ Ability to handle inventory and picking tasks.
+ Understanding of load points and center of balance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prior experience in a metal shop environment.
+ Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
**Work Environment**
This position involves working in an industrial metal shop where employees are often exposed to the elements while loading and unloading materials. Appropriate safety gear and attire are required.
