Operations Manager- (Tanque Verde Swap Meet)

Tanque Verde Flea Market is looking for a professional Operations Manager to join the Tanque Verde Flea Market Team! This position will manage overall operations at Tanque Verde and will also be responsible for the effective and successful management of grounds maintenance, janitorial crew, and facility operations. They will ensure safe and efficient operations of these departments as well and carry out supervisory responsibilities of staff working in these departments.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures departments of facilities management, ground maintenance and Janitorial Crew at Tanque Verde Flea Market are ready to open for business.
• Ensures the marketplace follows local, state, and federal, OSHA regulations.
• Determines corrective or preventative measures for health standards.
• Manage the completion of improvement projects at Tanque Verde Swap Meet by organizing all aspects of the projects such as needed material, work assignments and completion date.
• Scheduling of team members in the Facilities Management, Grounds Maintenance and Janitorial Crew to ensure coverage is always adequate.
• Makes sure all necessary tools and materials to perform jobs are available and equipment is operational.
• Trains team members to follow safety standards.
• Ensures all daily task sheets for Janitorial Crew, Grounds Maintenance Crew and Ride inspection sheets are completed daily.
• Repair all items needing to operate from plumbing, electric, refrigeration, ride maintenances, cart maintenance and any other item needing repair at TVSM.
• Evaluate all repairs needed to operate and reduce the need to hire outside repair service to help reduce cost.
• Supervises all employees in the three departments.
• Recognizes and correct traffic or parking issues before and while they are happening.
• Partners with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Maintains records of all required documentation of all staff assigned daily documentation.
• Uses phone and radio to maintain efficient running of the marketplace.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and helps repairs: refrigerator systems, AC units, Concession equipment, Food carts, and bathrooms.
• Direct team members engaged in ground maintenance activities, general cleanup of marketplace, restroom attendants and those working on projects.
• Maintains time records.
• Performs activities of those supervised and sets good example.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
