GENERAL PURPOSE

As an Operations Supervisor, you'll lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities for the assigned shift, including that all resources are assigned in a manner to meet or exceed safety, quality, customer service, and operation objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Identify issues affecting customer satisfaction caused by operational issues and act as a key change agent for the organization in developing solutions.

  • Manage inventory related functions to achievement of goals for operational metrics, including shipping time, order fill rate, inventory location, and shipping accuracy.

  • Ensure that the annual objectives for productivity, accuracy, and timelines are met.

  • Develop and manage a strong team, oversee training, coaching, and evaluation of all employees necessary to meet or exceed goals.

  • Ensure that safety, security, productivity, and satisfaction of employees align with company objectives

  • Manage warehouse inventory control programs and assure location and accuracy meets our corporate requirements.

  • Actively measure quality and strive for continuous improvement.

  • Continually seek ways to improve the overall distribution process and identify best practices.

  • Maintain compliance for areas of responsibility and participate in internal and external audits.

  • Other duties may be assigned to achieve business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of progressive, demonstrated leadership experience in operations management within a warehouse or distribution environment.

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds consistently.

  • Powered Industrial vehicle experience (preferred).

  • Mobile hand-held device experience (preferred).

  • Strong multitasking skill.

  • Strong inter-personal and communication ability.

  • MS Excel and Word proficiency.
