Operations Manager (Propane) - Kellogg, MN (onsite)
Salary: $75K-$80K (plus bonus potential)
Job Summary
Manages the day-to-day sales and operations in order to assure high service quality and safety standards, provide leadership, technical knowledge and skills to ensure compliance with and safety policies, procedures and regulations. Responsible for the management of profits and losses, sales, personnel, supply and logistics
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure our employees, customers and equipment are safe from harm or risk Foster and lead a "Culture of Safety" throughout the entire Service Center Manage financial performance to the budgeted plan Proper hiring and cross-training of all staff into functional areas Timely and accurate forecast reporting
Must reside within the local Service Center delivery area
Ensure the company safety program is implemented and maintained
Ensure all employees successfully complete required CETP training as described in the safety manual
Knowledge and compliance of all applicable state, federal and local codes and regulations, as well as all company policies and procedures.
Conduct at least one self-audit of the locations under your supervision annually.
Work with the Supervisor to improve processes and procedures, service quality and efficiency
Report all accidents Immediately to Safety and Human Resources as required
Manage Account Manager sales activity and production
Customer growth and retention
Qualifications
Valid CDL B license, with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements must be retained (depending on service center)
6+ years of experience in an operations leadership role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on developing a positive rapport with employees and customers
Detail oriented with the ability to take projects/tasks through to completion.
Strong time-management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment
Demonstrated skills in data analysis, strategic planning, measurements, and fiscal responsibility
Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing the department. and the organization to management, employees, and the public
May be required to work holidays, weekends, overtime, or during hours other than those which are considered a normal work schedule
Experience working with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
