Description
If you have experience in managing international logistics and transportation services, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, Missouri location, you will be responsible developing Copeland's logistic strategy.
Through collaboration with business units supply chain as well as sales & operations leaders, develop & implement strategic initiatives to improve cost, on-time delivery, and reliability. The International Logistics Supervisor will work Copeland business unit operations, Copelands Logistics Operations Team and third-party logistics providers to ensure Copelands International Logistics operations are reliably executed.
As the International Logistics Supervisor , you will:
- Be the subject matter leader related to global air, ocean, and parcel
- Ensure a consistent logistics approach globally
- Coordinate global sourcing activities using the standard global sourcing process, which will help ensure sourcing targets are met with the most efficient use of resources possible
- Develop KPIs to measure the operational and cost productivity performance of transportation
- This individual will develop an understanding of Copeland Logistics programs, transportation systems and processes as well as the end-to-end overview of Copeland's Supply Chain Operations
Required education, experiences & skills:
- Bachelors degree in business, transportation, supply chain or related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience in international logistics or transportation management
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential; including appropriate language skills to ensure proper communication with the global program management team (English) and local plant personnel
- Demonstrate an ability to drive operational changes by working and excelling in a team environment and demonstrating an ability to interact across all levels of management within and outside the organization
- Strong communication, analytical, project management, and change management skills
- The ability to develop strong professional relationships with key strategic partners to ensure alignment between our organization and theirs will be key in this role
- Strong project management skills including analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Relentless pursuit of root cause identification and resolution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Understands basic concepts of supply chain and information systems
- Familiarity with transportation and supply chain concepts and systems
- Ability to multi-task and work in multi-disciplinary teams

- Knowledge of regional or local providers is desirable
