Forklift Operator

We are looking for a Forklift Operator to join our team! The Forklift Operator will perform multiple tasks throughout the day to ensure safe and quality production. They are responsible for transporting large steel coils around the plant with a forklift and staging material at various machines for optimum efficiency. Duties include a wide variety of tasks, from material handling, crane operation, forklift operating, problem solving, quality control and other duties to assist with daily operations. Provide machine support by emptying scrap tubs and ensuring lines are cleared of finished product. Locate material into finished goods as needed. Responsible for all safety aspects regarding forklift/heavy equipment. We are a team-oriented culture with development opportunities and the ability for individuals to grow within our organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Forklift experience is required
• Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to get on and off a forklift for 8 hrs/day
• Basic math, computer and communication skills
• Must be able to read, follow detailed instructions and understand English
• Must follow all safety and quality policies and procedures

Shift Details:

• Training starts on 1st shift. Seeking individuals with flexibility to work any of our 3 shifts (1st: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm, 2nd: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm, 3rd: 10:30 pm - 6:30 am)
• Fixed 8-hour shifts with paid lunch
• No rotating shifts
• Required to work 2 to 3 Saturdays per month

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting pay: $21.00 per hour or more, based on experience and skills

• $1.50 per hour shift premium for 3rd shift or 2nd shift

• $1,500 sign-on bonus

• Quarterly profit-sharing opportunity (average $6,000 to $10,000 per year)

• Attendance bonuses up to $1,250 annually

• Overtime paid at time and a half; double time after 48 hours per week

• $180 annual safety boot allowance
