District Operations Manager

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a District Operations Manager based out of our Murray, UT facility .

District Operations Manager Primary Responsibilities

• Must help drive the culture for Best-in-Class Safety
• Multi-site responsibilities include providing leadership oversight and support to assigned plants to facilitate the pursuit of organizational objectives.
• Understand and follow regulatory guidelines and rules related to EHS and ISO compliance, including company, local, state, and federal laws, and policies/procedures.
• Conduct gap audits and inspections at plants within an area of focus; provide summary reports, recommendations, and agreements as appropriate.
• Help facilitate training of employees on best practices, procedures, and processes.

• Actively communicate resource needs to the Sr. Director of Operations and participate in Operations team meetings (conference calls and/or off-site meetings).
• Aid in supporting the culture for Operational Excellence, through facilitation, leadership, and participation in projects and events.
• Perform feasibility review of new projects and assist with developing and implementing action plans.
• Identify problems and opportunities for improvement, and then lead the team through appropriate action to capitalize on the opportunities.
• Participate in resolving customer issues and concerns in a timely manner. Initiate and maintain contact with other departments to obtain and provide complete, detailed, and accurate information.

• Work with other operational and cross-functional leaders to support initiatives in various plant functions.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget for the related plant. Support the plants to meet or exceed plant budgets in the areas of Materials, Labor, OH, and Freight and how they relate to capacity planning.
• Review and understand the monthly financial statements to help drive decision making related to Materials, Labor, OH and Freight costs (where applicable).

• Maintain the ability to drive for business purposes, including annual satisfactory DMV report, proof of insurance, valid driver license, and signature of statement related to notification to the company of any changes related to driver record and insurance coverage

District Operations Manager Experience

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in management, related field, or related level of responsibility .

District Operations Manager Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.

• Strong project management skills and aptitude to facilitate continuous improvement sessions.
• Strong management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Exceptional communication, leadership & interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and advanced analytical skills.
• Ability to build strong positive working relationships with vendors, customer, and production team members.

• Must be able to learn and understand the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures necessary to lead and troubleshoot assigned production areas.
• Must be computer literate: Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems.
• Aptitude to promote to Plant Manager or similar role within 2 years.

District Operations Manager Education, Licenses & Certifications

At least 2 years of post-high school education or equivalent required.

District Operations Manager Additional Information

• Light to moderate physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, and fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.
• Must be able to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner.

• Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Travel will be necessary up to 75% of time and over the weekend for short interim periods.
• Ability and willingness to relocate preferred.
