Job Summary:
The Cycle Counter / General Laborer is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through routine cycle counts and supporting general warehouse operations. This role involves counting and verifying stock levels, identifying discrepancies, assisting with inventory audits, and performing various manual labor tasks such as organizing, lifting, and moving materials. The position supports efficient warehouse functioning by ensuring inventory accuracy, contributing to a clean and safe work environment, and assisting in the timely movement and storage of goods to meet operational and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities:
We measure success by your ability to:
* Inventory Accuracy: Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.
* Data Entry: Accurately input count results into inventory systems and maintain updated records of adjustments or variances.
* Product Identification: Verify part numbers, lot numbers, and quantities to ensure inventory is properly labeled and stored.
* Stock Movement: Assist in the transfer of inventory to correct locations based on system or supervisor direction.
* Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-labeled inventory area to support operational efficiency.
* Manual Labor Support: Load, unload, and move materials by hand or with manual handling equipment as required.
* Inventory Reconciliation: Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and communicate findings to leadership.
* FIFO Rotation: Implement First In, First Out inventory rotation practices to reduce product aging and waste.
* Quality Checks: Examine inventory for damage, defects, or expiration, and escalate issues as necessary.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the safe use of equipment and proper material handling techniques.
* Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, shipping/receiving, and operations teams to support overall inventory flow.

Requirements Education, Experience, and Skills:
* Education: High school diploma or GED required.
* Certifications: Forklift certification preferred but not required.
* Experience:
o Previous inventory or warehouse experience highly preferred.
o Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory control practices.
o Experience using RF scanners, handheld devices, or inventory management software.
* Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
o Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move items for extended periods.
o Ability to follow instructions, problem-solve, and work with minimal supervision.
o Proficiency in reading and interpreting labels, documents, and data sheets.
o Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
Special/Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
* Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and carry items throughout an 8-hour shift.
* Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.).
