Construction Material Driver

Position: Construction Material Driver

This position reports to the Warehouse Manager. In this role, the Warehouse Associate will assist the Warehouse team in supporting the field teams by supplying construction materials and equipment as needed.

Qualifications and Other Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of building construction (tools and construction materials)
• Ability to back up a trailer
• Must pass a physical to obtain a DOT driver’s medical card

Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to:

• Work independently and as a team to assemble, load, and unload field orders
• Provide support to the field teams by accurately delivering orders
• Receiving and stocking warehouse items, keeping accurate inventory records
• Operate vehicles and machinery as needed (i.e. forklift, trailers)
• Provide support to the office as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures

Essential Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in an environment which may include: fumes, odors, chemicals, sawdust and ash.
• Ability to work in an environment with noises in the range of 30-85 db.
• Ability to lift or push up to one hundred (100) pounds, or in excess thereof, with the use of proper equipment or assistance.
• Ability to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
• Ability to use hand tools safely.
• Ability to use electric tools safely.
• Ability to walk up and down steps, climb ladders, staging and scaffolding and on uneven ground.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, stretch and work in tight spaces.
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle and large construction or box trucks.

Job Type:             Full Time, Hourly

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly position
• Annual employee reviews and salary increases are typically done each year
• Year-end bonuses are typically distributed at the end of each year if financially possible and feasible and at the President’s sole discretion
• 401K plan with a current employer match of 30% up to the first 6% of the employee’s contribution (minimum 6 month waiting period, must be 21 years old, and 6-year vesting schedule)

Candidates must be reliable and professional with a can-do attitude. Must have a strong work ethic, a professional appearance and demeanor, and a good overall knowledge of all trades. Must have your own transportation, valid driver's license, and select tools. Pre-employment physical and drug screening is required.
