Import Purchasing Agent

Import Purchasing Agent $95,000/yr.-$105,000/yr. Job Summary - Vaco is working with a growing marketing company and they have an opening for an Import Purchase Agent. This person is responsible for logistics processes, ensuring accurate procurement, and shipment processes. Client is offering work from home opportunities and upward growth mobility. Responsibilities: Develop and execute global supply chains. Analyze factory pricing Ensure continuous liaison between Operations and Sales Communicate internally with internal managers to ensure operational efficiency Manage supply chain. Attend weekly evening conference calls with the China team and lead conversations as needed. Receive and analyze bids from overseas vendors. Proactively monitor container rates. Source and price additional materials with US vendors Track costs on bid vs. actual container costs Process all payments to ensure they are made on time and accurately. Track all import shipments Qualifications: 5-8 years global purchasing experience B.S. in Business, Supply Chain, or Management is preferred Excellent communication skills Project management experience required Able to work as a team and communicate with internal managers Experience with Supply Chain software
