Production Lead

  • To provide guidance to the contractors at DPC and to assist the Shift Leaders at DPC.
Duties:
  • Demonstrate accountability in providing and sustaining a positive safety culture.
  • Responsible for communicating line assignments, directing work activity, coordinating breaks. Work with other team members to perform basic packaging of the product to customer specifications.
  • Ensure that 1 BBS per week is performed by each contractor on their respective shift. The team lead is responsible for keeping track of this.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns from DPC to the associates. Communicate and enforce policy updates from DPC to the associates.
  • Execute the accident protocol as given by DPC in the event of an occurrence. Refer to specific agency guidelines for reporting and actions necessary.
  • Inspects work throughout the packaging process and communicate any quality or operational issues to appropriate leader.
  • Assist in correcting procedures to ensure consistency of quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain neat, orderly and clean work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards.
  • Responsible for training new contract employees and training additional trainers on each line.
  • Conducts other investigations as appropriate and as per Agency guidelines.
Responsibilities:
  • Meet all quality, quantity and good manufacturing practices to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Check the onsite phone for any attendance issues and communicate all issues to the respective onsite and branch manager.
  • Participate in safety programs, meetings, and trainings as required.
  • Ensure that all contractors have and are complying with t-shirts, badges, and PPE equipment.
  • Bring safety concerns to the attention of management.
  • Re-occurring activities
    • Helping new contractors clock in and out on the time clock.
    • Tracking of all PTO requested days off.
    • Training and Managing LOTO Program
    • Coaching and counseling on attendance, performance, safety or any other issues that come up.
    • Communication with onsite and Shift leads.
Planning and Decision Making:
  • Ability to make sound decisions when safety concerns arise.
  • Must be able to maintain professional composure.
  • Escalating contractor issues to the branch as needed in a timely manner.
