Material Handler

Overview

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies in a safe and efficient manner. This role supports warehouse operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing materials for shipment, and ensuring materials are readily available to support business operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining organization and cleanliness.
• Pick, pack, and stage materials, equipment, and supplies for delivery or shipment.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory tracking systems.
• Assist with shipping and receiving documentation and recordkeeping.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test (hair follicle), MVR, fit for duty and agility.
