Overview
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies in a safe and efficient manner. This role supports warehouse operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing materials for shipment, and ensuring materials are readily available to support business operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining organization and cleanliness.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials, equipment, and supplies for delivery or shipment.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory tracking systems.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation and recordkeeping.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test (hair follicle), MVR, fit for duty and agility.
