Were a small but growing food company focused on Japanese-style postpartum foods handcrafted, healing, and made with intention. Were looking for a teammate to fulfill our frozen products from our licensed commercial kitchen! We may also need ad-hoc assistance with all different matters for events, photoshoots and other startup activities, so we would like someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, frequently wearing multiple hats and thriving in a hands-on, dynamic setting.

Location:
Commercial Kitchen in Fullerton, Orange County, CA
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 12-35 hours per month, with increased hours based on business needs. The anticipated schedule is as follows:
1 half to full day (2-7 hours) per week (likely Tuesday or Wednesday)
1-3 hours per week for assistance in light searching and initial reach-out to social influencers for collaboration opportunities
Additional: 13 hours per week for online meetings or ad-hoc support.
Employees will receive meal and rest breaks in accordance with California Labor Code Sections 226.7 and 512, and overtime pay for hours worked over 8 in a day or 40 in a week, per California Labor Code Section 510.
Key Responsibilities:
Fulfill orders by assembling cooler boxes or insulated packaging and packing food products for safe, temperature-compliant transport.
Communicate with internal team and clients to ensure delivery environments meet cold-chain handling requirements.
Manage inventory of all fulfillment/delivery related items including tape, insulated bags, etc. and products, keeping an organized environment
For sourcing fulfillment items needed for the day such as dry ice and boxes/insulator, or for drop-off of UPS/Courier deliveries, use a personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided per California Labor Code Section 2802.
Assist the Project Manager (located in Japan) with operational tasks related to fulfillment logistics, including planning/scheduling courier deliveries or pickup, etc.
Assist Cooks with dishwashing, cleaning, sanitizing and food prep as needed.
Assistance in searching and initial reach-out to social influencers for collaboration opportunities.Collaborate with internal team and external partners to ensure compliance with food safety and business regulations.
Provide ad-hoc support for events, photo shoots, PR activities, etc., approximately every 23 months (13 full eight (8) hour days).
As with any start-up venture, other duties may be assigned as each employee may need to help in other areas that are not explicitly mentioned above.
Requirements:
Valid Food Handler License (must be obtained within 30 days of hire, if not already held, per California Retail Food Code).
Ability to communicate effectively in English with food safety consultants, clients, and team members.
Reliable transportation to commute to the FH Wellness Inc. commercial kitchen and to safely deliver finished product as outlined in the responsibilities listed above.
Ability to safely lift and transport moderately heavy items (e.g., boxes, cooler boxes, up to 50 pounds) with reasonable accommodations available as needed.
Availability to work independently according to the above schedule.
