Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our growing food manufacturing team in Brundidge, Alabama. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day purchasing and inventory management activities.
  • Coordinate the procurement of ingredients, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory accuracy and reporting.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and product availability.
  • Assist with resolving supply chain, inventory, and vendor-related issues.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to purchasing and inventory processes.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or administrative support roles.
  • Manufacturing or food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or similar platforms preferred.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary of $40,000–$50,000 annually.
  • Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
