We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our manufacturing and warehouse team for 3rd shift . The Packer will be responsible for preparing products for shipment by accurately packaging items according to specified standards, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations. This role is vital in maintaining product integrity, supporting efficient warehouse operations, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with packaging processes, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties
Carefully inspect products to ensure quality standards are met before packaging
Assemble, pack, and label products using appropriate hand tools and packaging materials
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials within the facility
Follow detailed packaging procedures in accordance with manufacturing specifications and FDA regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of packing stations to promote efficiency and safety
Assist with inventory management by accurately recording packaged items and stock levels
Support assembly processes when required, ensuring components are correctly assembled prior to packing
Adhere to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines to ensure product safety and compliance
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues related to packaging machinery
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
Prior experience in packaging, manufacturing, or warehouse environments preferred
Familiarity with FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and quality assurance protocols
Mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools for assembly or repairs
Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is a plus
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling products and documentation
Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous but not mandatory
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
