JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Receiving Clerk
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma, GED or other equivalent is required
- Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods and warehouse experience required
- Comparing packing lists to District purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
- Experience in conducting physical inventory and computer data entry required.
- Typing and recordkeeping ability required
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other equipment to lift heavy loads.
- Physical lifting of heavy objects is required.
- Valid driver’s license and IVP background clearance card required.
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month assignment per school calendar
JOB GOAL: To assist in the operation of the Warehouse Department to ensure full efficiency in the acquisition, delivery, inventory and proper disposal of educational supplies, furniture and equipment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives school and department site requisitions for warehouse stocked inventory.
- Fulfills site requests for warehouse stocked inventory and makes deliveries.
- Pick up mail and deliver it to the District Office daily.
- Receives TCUSD Purchase Order merchandise/products from outside vendors.
- Inspects incoming packages and freight for damages, checks contents with packing slips and TCUSD Purchase Order for accuracy.
- Tags capital asset equipment for GFA inventory records.
- Prepares daily Receiving Log for incoming deliveries from outside vendors.
- Prepares daily Delivery Log for deliveries to District school and department sites.
- Maintains daily receiving, delivery and vehicle mileage logs.
- Maintains daily chronological filing of requisitions and purchase orders.
- Receives Food Service Commodities and restocks in walk-in cooler and freezer.
- Does a monthly physical count of Food Service Commodities.
- Records daily temperatures for Food Service Commodities.
- Does a quarterly physical count of warehouse stock inventory.
- Prepares and assists with District Property Surplus Sale.
- Maintains upkeep of the building and vehicle and submits work orders when necessary.
- Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the district warehouse supervisor.
