Job Description

The Operations Manager will lead a team responsible for identifying, designing, and executing AI and automation solutions that drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and risk reduction. This role will lead a team of approximately 10 automation professionals, providing direction on priorities, execution, and problem-solving. The leader will ensure high-quality delivery and effective support for internal stakeholders across the enterprise by establishing clear expectations, measuring performance, and building accountability while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AI and Automation Designers

  • Set expectations for design quality, documentation, and standards adherence

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Solution Design Oversight

  • Oversee identification and definition of AI and automation solutions aligned to business strategy

  • Review and guide design recommendations to ensure feasibility, scalability, and reuse

  • Provide handson design direction for complex or highimpact initiatives

  • Ensure platform unification through consistent design patterns and architectural decisions

Planning & Delivery Alignment

  • Partner with delivery, engineering, and architecture teams on scope, sequencing, and dependencies

  • Ensure data, system, integration, and infrastructure impacts are identified early

  • Inform crossinitiative requirements, timelines, and risk considerations

Stakeholder & Decision Support

  • Serve as a senior liaison between business leaders and technical teams

  • Facilitate and sponsor solution workshops to drive alignment and decisionmaking

  • Translate complex technical tradeoffs into clear, actionable recommendations

Technology Strategy & Value

  • Guide evaluation of emerging AI and automation technologies for enterprise suitability and value

  • Support cost, complexity, and investment tradeoff assessments

  • Ensure solutions align with longterm platform and capability strategy

  • Deep technical knowledge in AI, automation, and related technologies

  • Strong ability to evaluate emerging technologies and determine practical applicability at scale

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, guide, and align multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts and design rationale

  • Strong collaboration mindset with experience partnering across business and technical teams

  • Tuned leadership presence with the ability to influence outcomes and drive alignment

  • Operates across multiple initiatives or portfolios

  • Accountable for design outcomes and team effectiveness , not daytoday delivery execution

  • Influences prioritization, investment decisions, and architectural direction

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically eight or more years of relevant experience

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
