Position Overview:

As the Manager of Global Strategic Sourcing, with a focus on Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), you will lead a small team responsible for ensuring production continuity by reducing supply chain disruptions and improving supplier performance. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of strategic sourcing and supply chain planning, aligning internal demand signals with supplier execution capabilities. You will transition supplier risk management from reactive issue resolution to proactive, data-driven intervention through both hands-on supplier engagement and scalable system development. You will also play a key role in strengthening cross-functional alignment and supplier accountability across the organization. This is a compelling opportunity to directly impact enterprise-wide supply chain resilience while building systems and processes that scale across global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy onsite supplier interventions to resolve delivery, capacity, and execution issues.
  • Manage emerging supplier issues and communicate countermeasures and recovery timelines to key stakeholders.
  • Align MP&L/SIOP demand plans with supplier execution to ensure feasibility, visibility to constraints, and timely escalation of risks.
  • Own and continuously improve the Supply Chain Risk Management system, including risk indices, early warning indicators, and escalation processes.
  • Establish and maintain a prioritized supplier risk portfolio focused on the highest-impact risks to production continuity.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Sourcing, Engineering, and Operations to improve supplier performance and reduce risk.
  • Lead hiring, development, and performance management of team members.
  • Develop and manage executive-level supplier relationships to drive transparency, accountability, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Partner with Quality, Material Planning, and Operations leadership to align supplier performance with business requirements and strategic objectives

Desired Competencies:

  • Business Acumen: You understand how your work impacts financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational goals, and you make decisions with the broader business context in mind.
  • Collaboration: You work effectively with others across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting different perspectives.
  • Problem Solving: You identify issues, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions that balance speed, quality, and risk.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred, ideally in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • APICS CPIM, ISM CPM, and ISM APP certifications preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or operations planning.
  • Experience managing or leading teams is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective cross-functional teams.
  • Experience operating in ambiguous, high-pressure environments and applying structured problem-solving approaches.
  • Proven ability to lead supplier recovery efforts, including resolving delivery, capacity, or planning issues.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between demand planning and supplier execution.
  • Experience developing or improving systems, tools, or processes that enhance supply chain visibility and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical capability, including identifying risks through early warning indicators and data-driven insights.
  • Effective executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
