Minimum Qualifications :
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or related field preferred.
Experience
- At least three years of related experience and execution of similar duties in warehouse/freight operations required.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration
Valid Driver’s License

Job Duties
Essential Duties

- Schedules drivers for pick-up and delivery; selects most efficient routes for each driver.
- Assists the Transportation Manager with prioritizing and routing drivers for regularly scheduled routes and urgent needs.
- Oversees equipment availability; assigns drivers, trucks, and extra drivers when needed.
- Consolidates orders into truckloads for specific destinations.
- Communicates delays and route changes as necessary.
- Maintains radio and/or phone contact with drivers; receives and dispatches response and emergency aid when needed.
- Monitors drivers’ working hours to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
- Assists with the oversight of maintenance and repair schedules for vehicles.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Thorough understanding of shipping industry.
