About the Position

Our client is a global automobile manufacturer. The facility in Swedesboro is a parts distribution center and our client is looking for is seeking an order picker to perform various duties associated with receiving stock, keeping and pick/pack/ship of parts to dealers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick parts from storage locations to fill dealer orders. Verify part number, description, and quantity to ensure proper shipment. This duty requires lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Pack parts to ensure safe handling during shipment in order to eliminate freight damage.
• Receive incoming parts for stock keeping purposes. Verify part number, description, and quantity to ensure proper receipt.
• Place material in assigned storage location and complete appropriate documentation.
• Enter shipping and billing information in parcel manifest/automated bill of lading systems for dealer shipments.
• Participate in warehouse projects including: Stock re-arrangement, cycle counts, warehouse scraps, part re-packaging, and warehouse auditing.
• Maintain cleanliness of individual workstation and participate in general warehouse maintenance and cleaning.
• Operate all warehouse material handling equipment including: Counter-balance forklift, Narrow aisle reach truck, order picker, and electric picking cart.
• Pass all required forklift and hazardous materials testing.
• Maintain minimum productivity requirements on a daily basis.
• Calmly respond in highly stressful business conditions.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities and meet stated deadlines while delivering quality results.
• Regular attendance at work on a full time schedule of at least 8 hours daily, and 40 hours weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements

• Three years prior warehouse/shipping/receiving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Prior automotive wholesale/retail experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Vision must be correctable to 20/20.
