Lead procurement for Metal Fabrication and Steel, managing a team of 2 buyers and 90 suppliers across U.S. sites, with $50M annual spend. Drive cost reduction, supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery), and negotiations for production and NPI. Develop and execute supplier and category strategies, including LCC initiatives (India/China). Requires strong expertise in metal fabrication/steel or direct materials procurement, along with strong analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Your Impact
Develop and execute sub-category sourcing strategies aligned with the overall category plan; Reach Cost savings targets conducting market research and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities;
Identify best sources for part quotation, assuring RFX on time/cost/delivery selecting best supplier for AGCO needs; Develop purchase bids for multiple projects while interacting with internal stakeholders (engineering, quality, logistics, manufacturing, etc.);
Take the lead for Long Term Agreements managing supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings, optimize payment terms, and drive value creation;
As "one face to the supplier", lead the negotiations for all regions on behalf of the global team and special for China and India.
Lead a team of 2 buyers, one located in the United States and the other in Brazil. Develop and implement sub-categories strategy for NA within Metal Fabrication and Steel categories.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Engineering preferred).
Fluent English communication skills (mandatory).
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Minimum 7 years of hands-on, results-driven purchasing and negotiation experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and mandatory experience in Metal Fabrication and Steel categories.
