Our Opening and Your Responsibilities The Sr Trade Compliance Specialist provides the Company with import/export regulatory direction for both internal and external customers, including researching and analyzing information to support the development and implementation of effective compliance policies and procedures. This position applies existing rules and regulations to the Companys processes to ensure compliance which includes the preparation and submission of required filings and reporting documentation. The Sr Trade Compliance Specialist provides strategic guidance and education to Company management and staff on import/export compliance issues and has an important voice in setting the Companys global compliance policy. The position functions in a very strong corporate culture of compliance management. This position is an opportunity to handle challenging and interesting multi-faceted compliance involving the U.S., China, Europe and Latin America. The role has trade compliance responsibility over multiple locations across North America and collaborates with team members and business partners globally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Determine and maintain tariff classifications, country of origin data, and ECCN assignments for products, components, materials, and spare parts
- Maintain accurate material master data and supporting classification documentation
- Provide required data to customs brokers and resolve customs entry or clearance issues
- Audit completed customs entries and request corrections when needed
- Ensure compliance with customs and governmental regulations
- Partner on compliance issue resolution, including holding shipments when necessary
- Monitor shipping activities to support regulatory compliance Participate in regional and global meetings as needed
- HTS Classification experience required
- Bachelors degree in the field of Business or Technology or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years experience in the field of import and export control.
