This opportunity is based at our Meriden, CT facility within the BioProduction Group Filtration & Separation Division, where we manufacture filtration products used in bioprocessing and industrial applications. These products play a critical role in supporting public health, scientific innovation, and customer success around the world.

How Will You Make an Impact?

As a Production Planner, you will serve as a critical link between demand, supply, and manufacturing execution. You will be responsible for developing achievable production plans, monitoring operational performance, and proactively addressing supply risks before they impact business operations.

Through close collaboration with Production, Customer Service, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance teams, you will help ensure continuity of supply, support customer satisfaction, and drive operational excellence. Your focus on data integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement will contribute to stronger planning discipline and improved business performance.

Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Schedule Execution
  • Execute daily production planning activities aligned with site and network objectives to support efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Translate customer demand into detailed, executable production plans based on capacity and material availability.
  • Review and respond to ERP/MRP messages, exceptions, and system recommendations to maintain accurate and achievable production schedules.
  • Create and manage production and intercompany orders in accordance with business priorities.
  • Partner with Production, Customer Service, QC, and QA teams to ensure successful execution of production plans.
Risk Management, Performance Monitoring & Operational Control
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including service levels, schedule adherence, and inventory targets, and take appropriate corrective actions when needed.
  • Participate in daily Tier meetings, providing updates, escalating risks, and driving timely resolution of issues.
  • Identify risks to supply and production schedules and develop mitigation plans to minimize business impact.
  • Conduct and maintain accurate root cause analysis for delays, shortages, and out-of-stock situations.
  • Monitor material availability and shelf-life requirements while driving actions to reduce excess inventory, obsolescence, and scrap.
Compliance, Data Integrity & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, health and safety, and internal process requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning processes and operational performance.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity within ERP systems and planning tools.
How Will You Get Here? Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Technical & Systems Expertise
  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (JD Edwards E1 preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Experience implementing and enhancing digital supply chain tools, reporting systems, and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Demantra).
  • APICS (CPIM) certification, or willingness to work toward certification, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $97,000.00$120,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
