The Operations Manager will take a leadership role to oversee and drive the integration process for acquisitions in the southern region, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including warehousing, inventory management, logistics, IT, HR and transportation. As we merge operations, streamline processes, and optimize efficiency, this role will be pivotal ensuring a seamless transition and maximizing synergies. The Integration Managers primary objective will be to balance operations, enhance productivity, and align acquired entities with our existing systems.
Essential Job Functions:
Integration Strategy and Planning:
Collaborate with the Integration Team and senior leadership to implement, communicate and execute the integration plan, considering processes, people, and technology.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define integration goals, milestones, and success criteria.
Ensure alignment and communication with overall business objectives.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with department leaders across the organization to synchronize efforts.
Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to achieve efficient integration.
Escalate issues requiring senior-level input for swift resolution.
Operational Optimization:
Analyze existing processes and identify inefficiencies.
Implement best practices to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Monitor key performance metrics related to distribution, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry safety protocols, OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory guidelines.
Implement safety measures across all distribution-related functions.
Change Management:
Guide the management team and employees through the integration process.
Address concerns, manage expectations, and foster a positive transition experience.
Continuous Improvement:
Utilize data-driven analytical tools to monitor operations and identify areas for optimization.
Implement process improvements and track their impactQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Food Science, Agriculture
Experience: 5 years’ experience in the shipping and warehousing of wholesale produce, 2 years of management
Knowledge: Safety / OSHA, HACCP, GMP’s, sanitation, and Food Safety concepts. USDA/FDA guidelines, Keany systems to include Paycom, Produce Pro, etc. Change Management
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
Must be able to move and lift boxes weighing up to 25lbs.
Must be able to operate and inspect powered equipment using controls.
Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods.
Working Conditions:
This position requires normal and some irregular hours to include nights, weekends and some holidays.
Temperatures can be as low as 35 degrees in some areas.
Noise level is moderate.
