The Transportation Manager supervises daily transportation activities and personnel to ensure functions are performed according to our standards and guidelines.

You will work from Monday - Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm with the ability to be flexible on work hours/shifts.

You will:

• Manage a cohesive, collaborative team, including supervisors, dispatchers, clerks, routers, and drivers
• Maximize the use of our transportation options: box trucks, tractors, and trailers
• Manage relationships with vendors
• Ensure all drivers comply with company, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Ensure mandatory reporting (Hut, IFTA) is done on time and accurately
• Develop KPIs for the transportation staff's performance
• Develop continuous improvement plans for key metrics

You have:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Previous experience in transportation, preferably in a related industry

• Supervisory experience is strongly preferred

• Class A driver's license is preferred

• Thorough knowledge of material handling equipment and traffic management

• A good working knowledge of government regulations about transportation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• A working knowledge of SmartDrive and Roadnet is a plus
