Forklift Operator

We are currently seeking a dependable Forklift Operator I to join our team! In this role, you will transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift, in addition to moving materials throughout the warehouse.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 / hour
Shift: Wednesday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Occasional overtime as needed)

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation: Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric-powered forklift to pick up, deliver, or move materials around the warehouse location.
Material Handling: Move machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Load, unload, and stack materials onto lifting devices.
Documentation: Weigh materials or products and record them on production schedules.
Safety & Maintenance: Perform safety checks on lifts. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
Teamwork & Policy: Follow instructions, either while working independently or as part of a team.
Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines. Actively participate in safety policies, activities, and implementations.
General Duties: Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands are deemed necessary.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Qualifications:
Experience: 1-2 years of experience (Heavy Duty Forklift Operator experience preferred).
Education: High school degree / GED or work equivalent required.
Minimum lifting of 50 lbs for the duration of a shift.
Required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Capable of working in an open workspace, closely with team members, where the noise level is usually moderate.

Skills:
Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations, and basic geography knowledge.
Exhibit strong typing skills and/or data entry skills.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
