POSITION SUMMARY

The organization is seeking a Supply Manager to lead the sourcing, purchasing, and supply management of unbranded fuel for commercial operations across a designated supply region. This role is responsible for negotiating supply agreements, identifying daily buying opportunities across multiple supply points, and building a supply portfolio that supports the continued growth of the business.

This is a high impact commercial role that requires strong market awareness, disciplined risk management, sharp negotiation skills, and the ability to optimize supply economics while maintaining dependable product availability for customers and operations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Management

• Manage daytoday sourcing of unbranded gasoline and distillate products to meet commercial delivery obligations, bulk plant inventory, and cardlock supply needs.

• Structure and negotiate term supply contracts and spot deals with refiners, regional marketers, and trading counterparties.

• Evaluate and execute spot and term purchasing opportunities by comparing rack postings, basis differentials, delivered economics, and supply conditions across a defined region.

• Balance landed cost and customer commitments to optimize purchasing decisions.

• Monitor daily rack pricing, market dislocations, product availability, and regional supply dynamics.

• Forecast supply, demand, and market trends to capture opportunities and mitigate risk.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

• Develop and maintain a diversified supplier network across refiners, shippers, and independent marketers to enhance supply optionality.

• Serve as the primary commercial contact for supply relationships within the region.

• Collaborate with sales, operations, pricing, and leadership to align sourcing strategy with broader business objectives.

Market Intelligence and Analysis

• Analyze OPIS, Platts, and other market data to track basis movements, pricing trends, and regional supply conditions.

• Maintain awareness of refinery outages, terminal allocations, seasonal shifts, and disruptions affecting cost or availability.

• Identify pricing anomalies, arbitrage opportunities, and basis shifts using market intelligence and proprietary analytics.

• Deliver actionable market briefings that connect supply developments to margin and volume performance.

Margin & Pricing Support

• Support pricing and margin decisions for commercial and industrial fuel sales on a spot, term, or contract basis.

• Identify opportunities to improve gross margin, reduce delivered cost, and enhance purchasing power.

• Partner with leadership to develop purchasing strategies that strengthen margin performance, supply reliability, and growth objectives.

Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with operations team to align purchases with trucking capacity and delivery schedules.

• Track supplier performance, contract compliance, and sourcing results.

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, rack operators, carriers, and other market participants.

• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded fuel supply professional with hands-on experience purchasing unbranded fuel and navigating daily supply decisions in a competitive market. This person combines analytical discipline with practical industry instincts and the confidence to act decisively when opportunities arise.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Direct experience in refined products purchasing, physical fuel marketing, or wholesale fuel supply operations.

• Proven ability to negotiate unbranded fuel supply contracts and manage a diverse portfolio of supplier relationships.

• Strong working knowledge of rackbased purchasing, delivered fuel pricing, terminal logistics, freight economics, and supplychain considerations.

• Experience sourcing product across multiple terminals and making timesensitive purchasing decisions based on daily market conditions.

• Familiarity with gasoline and distillate markets in the company’s operating region, including supply infrastructure, pipeline dynamics, and regional terminal networks.

• Proficiency with OPIS, Platts, and other pricing tools used to evaluate market positioning and guide sourcing strategy.

• Demonstrated ability to assess margin impact, landed cost variables, and supply alternatives in fastmoving markets.

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problemsolving skills.

• Effective communicator capable of translating complex market developments into clear, actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
