Overview: FORCE America is looking to add a Production Lead to our team in Alexandria due to internal growth! The Production Lead must lead the assembly team ensuring that all Associates have the proper training and tools to achieve the expectations of their respective positions. The Production Lead will provide direction to members in the Deburring, Machining and/or Assembly Departments. In this role, the Production Lead must be able demonstrate and train others to Deburr, assemble, disassemble, repair, and test all product lines. It is expected that this individual has a comprehensive knowledge of products, a complete understanding of production procedures, comprehensive understanding of fluid power, and advanced ability to use hand, power tools, and basic machinery.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages the quality, output, workflow of the teams.
  • Provides individual coaching and direction to team.
  • Assigns tasks to Associates based on teams abilities and capacity.
  • Tests for functionality of products and systems.
  • Trains and holds Associates accountable on products and processes.
  • Implements technical or process improvements to assist the team achieve site goals.
  • Communicates with appropriate parties in relation to projects, orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc.
  • Maintains and implements safety practices and procedures.
  • Audits and maintains system accuracy and record transactions in ERP operating system.
  • Assembles complex systems in accordance to the work instructions utilizing a combination of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Assembles complex systems to meet established standards for quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience providing work direction or supervision, preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong skills with hand and power tools.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize in order to meet the expectations of the customer.
  • Detail oriented, to provide the highest level of quality.
