CDL Yard Driver

We are looking for a skilled CDL Yard Driver to lead our localized fleet and logistics movement. In this pivotal role, you will take primary ownership of the safe positioning, docking, and shuttling of commercial trailers and bulk tankers throughout our facility grounds. While your primary expertise will be utilized behind the wheel of our yard trucks, you will also assist with facility material handling operations as needed to support smooth warehouse distribution workflows

salary: $35,360 - $37,500 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Safely navigate semi-trucks, standard cargo trailers, and bulk liquid tankers across facility pathways, staging lots, and active shipping zones.
  
  
• Expertly reverse large trailers into tight dock configurations, often maneuvering smoothly between closely adjacent parked units.
  
  
• Back heavy bulk liquid tankers accurately into dedicated loading and unloading bays for product transfers.
  
  
• Apply comprehensive safety procedures to immobilize stationed trailers, utilizing wheel chocking techniques and implementing airline locks correctly.
  
  
• Assist the wider warehouse crew with order selection, inventory organizing, and loading tasks during peak distribution windows
  
  

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 40lbs
