Job Summary

Under general direction, the Regional Manager, Inventory Replenishment leads a core component of Interstate Batteries (IB) transformed supply chain model efficient management and replenishment of Fulfillment Center (FC) and Distributor inventories to maximize product availability, ensure customer satisfaction, and enable sales growth. This role will lead a team and collaborate with key stakeholders (internal & external) in execution of inventory replenishment activities and is expected to provide thought leadership in development of key processes, metrics, KPIs, etc. This leader will also drive continuous improvement activities to foster on-going maturity of IBs inventory replenishment processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages a team of Supply Chain Analysts including:

    • Onboarding & initial setup of Distributors to receive supply from FCs.

    • On-going management of Distributor inventory replenishment from the FCs.

    • Collaboration with Supply Planning Team in achieving forecast accuracy/attainment.

  • Acts as subject matter expert for inventory replenishment processes & activities (including pull replenishment inventory concepts and calculations) in FCs and between FCs and Distributors.

  • Engages with IT & Supply Chain counterparts in identification of system capabilities & requirements to support FC and Distributor inventory management/replenishment.

  • Collaborates with Supply Chain Transformation, Planning & Inventory, and IT team stakeholders to build core planning processes for management of FC inventory replenishment (both during & after FC network deployment) in alignment with system capabilities.

  • Develops and monitors Fulfillment Centers and Distributor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, drives improvement, and any necessary improvement/recovery activities.

  • In collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (including Supply Chain Transformation and Continuous Improvement teams), provides thought leadership in identifying areas of opportunity for improved inventory management practices and network optimization.

  • Builds and develops (including hiring, coaching, mentoring, etc.) team of analysts capable of effectively executing inventory replenishment activities, collaborating with Distributors to resolve inventory issues, appropriately adjusting inventory settings/targets, and driving enhancement of processes.

  • Works closely with the Supply Planning Team to ensure inventory needs are met and any known constraints are communicated to Distributors supported by the FCs.

  • Analyzes supply and demand imbalances (including out-of-stock instances) and facilitates resolution throughout the supply chain.

  • Other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Technical or equivalent discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in progressive leadership positions, including a role of similar responsibility/scale in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
  • Experience with SAP IBP/APO or similar supply chain planning tools (e.g., Manugistics, Anaplan, o9, Logility) preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation, business acumen, and ability to diagnose & resolve complex problems with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Experience in end-to-end supply chain management involving distribution, inventory management, and project management.
  • Demonstrated results in driving cross-functional improvements including managing processes from ideation through execution (including implementation and measurement of results).
  • Proven ability to drive meaningful business change through influence.
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze supply chain management problems and develop & implement practical solutions.
  • Passion to drive continuous improvement through identification of root-cause and implementation of countermeasures to key business problems.
  • Prior experience in a high volume, fast paced, customer-focused supply chain preferred.
  • APICS Supply Chain Certification and/or Green Belt Certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support Fulfillment Center deployment, on-going development of inventory replenishment capabilities, and Distributor onboarding.

Scope Data
  • Builds & manages team to lead execution and growth of FC inventory replenishment model.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain Transformation team, Planning & Inventory team, Fulfillment Center teams, Distributors, and cross-functional partners.

Work Environment
  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50+ lbs.
  • May be exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Prolonged use of personal computer & telephone.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
