Job Summary :
Material handler operates a forklift about the facility to stage containers and materials, and removes containers and materials as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Load and unloads material on/off of pallets, skids, or lifting devices using a forklift
Moves parts and unused material from the machine area to subsequent processing departments or to shipping or storage
Plan and stage materials ahead of operator needs
Change propane cylinders when needed on the forklift
Assist operators with setup when needed
Willingness to assist in other areas as needed
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications (Required)
At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)
High School diploma or GED (required at all locations)
Previous forklift experience
Job Qualifications (Preferred):
Previous manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands
Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
Reliable to come to work every day and be on time
Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends
Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm CST Overtime as needed during week and/or weekends
