This position will collaborate with multiple departments and project teams to support the implementation of an automated solution for an integrated material handling system. Candidate must be a self-directed highly motivated professional that can multitask and work within a compressed project schedule.

Must be knowledgeable with the electrical industrial controls concepts

  • Knowledge must be of electrical wiring and ability to read electrical drawings
  • Must also know PLC logic and controls
  • Must be able to comprehend and execute instructions from Electrical and Controls Engineers
  • Excellent communication is essential for project execution and troubleshooting issues
  • Must be able to work independently to execute Engineering design changes in a time constrained environment

Fabricating and retrofitting panels and related assemblies

  • Must have experience with metal fabrication techniques as related to panels and devices
  • The safe use of hand tools and metal stick welder
  • Must be able to read weld symbols on drawings and apply correctly to fabrication
  • Knowledge of pulling wires, identification for continuity and landing wires
  • Must be able to comply with local code and ordinances within the USA and Canada
  • Must be able to troubleshoot electrical panels and related equipment

Oversee all electrical/controls materials at the warehouse.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Receiving shipments from vendors:

  • Inspecting and verifying count against shipping documents
  • Barcode components using BIM360 which includes using BIM360, locating the decoder tracker #, applying the barcode, taking and uploading photos to BIM360

Receiving shipments of returned goods from projects:

  • Vetting the parts for quality and if they meet specifications
    • Barcode components using BIM360 which includes using BIM360, locating the decoder tracker #, applying the barcode, taking and uploading photos to BIM360

Shipping electrical Materials to project sites:

  • Via pull ticket data, pull parts as demanded by the PM PO Log (qty and onsite date)
  • Stage parts for shipment which include repackaging (if necessary) and stretch wrapping for shipment.

Assemble Drive Systems (DRI, motors, pulleys, etc)

  • Direct workers on modification requirements for drive assemblies, such as:
  • Changing the shaft orientation
  • Mounting motors, or changing out motors/bearings/pulleys/etc

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software, with special emphasis on Excel
  • Have familiarity with ERP and/or WMS environments
  • Familiarity with Sharepoint or similar software
  • Achieved OSHA 30 training
  • Ability to operate a 6000lb forklift and achieve company issued operators license
  • Some travel to project sites may be required
  • Must have 5 years experience in electrical installation and controls
  • Bilingual preferred; at a minimum, the ability to understand and to make oneself understood to all Spanish speaking individuals.
