Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker Driver to join our team. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for receiving, storing, and delivering materials and products within the warehouse and to customers. The position plays a key role in ensuring safe handling of materials, regulatory compliance, and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle, inspect, and manage hazardous waste and storage in accordance with site emergency and contingency plans.
- Prepare and maintain hazardous waste records, including manifests and inspection logs.
- Read customer orders and assemble stock from storage areas for delivery.
- Complete required company documentation, including logs and bills of lading.
- Ensure proper truck placarding and accurate material labeling.
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials and retrieve empty containers.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Receive incoming shipments, unload, and distribute materials to appropriate storage areas.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas and inventory.
- Repack bulk materials and maintain chlorine containers.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Ensure all shipments meet DOT regulations and customer requirements.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Utilize company-provided tools, equipment, and software in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to hazardous waste spills or incidents following site emergency procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (all classes).
- Ability to obtain Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsements.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Forklift operation experience.
- Experience handling hazardous materials or working in a regulated warehouse environment.
Work Environment
- Work includes exposure to outdoor weather conditions and mechanical equipment.
- Occasional exposure to chemicals, noise, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic substances.
- Potential to work at elevated or precarious heights.
- Exposure to electrical hazards under certain conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Visual acuity including close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
