MATERIAL HANDLER

Job Responsibilities

Move materials from one place to another

Keep product on the line/tables at all times

Maintain safe and clean working environment

Report any issues to the Production Team Leader

Always follow GMP's and Safety Procedures

Comply with all Company rules, regulations, work instructions and policies

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bilingual (English - Spanish) preferred

Additional Skills

Ability to read, comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions

Must be able to interact well with other team members

Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision

Willingness and ability to work in a team environment

Ability to understand different units of measure and record information

Good safety knowledge and safety record

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to work in a cold environment (38-40 F)

Use hands to find, handle, touch and manipulate items

Stand for extended periods, walk and reach with hands or arms

Occasionally stoop, reach, crouch, twist and walk

Able to work Overtime and/or weekends

Work Environment:

Individual will be subject to production and warehouse environment (wet environment with temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 degrees)

Medium/High noise levels from operating machines and cleaning equipment

Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts

Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP's) processes

Required to use personal protective equipment

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
