Senior Fleet Mechanic
Join Lime's warehouse operations team as a Senior Fleet Mechanic, where you will play a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing our fleet of shared electric scooters and bikes. This position is ideal for experienced mechanics who can work independently, troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, safely operate warehouse equipment, and help maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Lime scooters and bikes
Inspect vehicles to ensure operational compliance and readiness for deployment
Complete quality control inspections and verify repair accuracy
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
Support battery management operations through accurate documentation and quality checks
Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move vehicles, batteries, and equipment throughout the warehouse
Assist with inventory management, parts organization, and maintaining appropriate stock levels
Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting established repair goals
Support deployment and retrieval operations as needed by safely operating Lime vehicles
Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate operational concerns to leadership
Assist with training and mentoring team members on repair techniques, safety practices, and operational procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
Follow all company safety, compliance, and warehouse operating procedures
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
Skills:
- Advanced mechanical aptitude with experience performing vehicle repairs and diagnostics
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks in a warehouse environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity goals
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Safety-focused mindset with the ability to consistently follow procedures and protocols
Ability to safely ride and maneuver bikes, cargo bikes, and electric scooters
Requirements:
- Previous professional mechanical repair experience required
Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
Current forklift certification required
Experience operating an electric pallet jack required
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and vehicle components throughout the shift
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
Must successfully complete all required onboarding, safety, and skills assessments
Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM, with occasional weekend availability based on business needs
Must follow all warehouse safety, appearance, and operational policies
Must wear required personal protective equipment and maintain a professional appearance while on site

- Operate a large or small vehicle on highways, side streets, neighborhoods, and other motor ways in a safe, courteous, and legal manner; including box trucks, flat beds, vans, SUVs, or other motor vehicles.
- Working on your feet in between stops or when loading the vehicle in preparation for deliveries
- Safely lifting and moving heavy boxes or other heavy items, up to 50 pounds in weight
- Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities as required by the immediate supervisor
- Comfortable working around large trucks, pallet jacks, or other moving equipment as needed
- Interfacing with customers and managers in a professional and courteous manner
- There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
