A growing logistics and transportation company in the Portland area is seeking an experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join their operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in international air freight forwarding and export logistics who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating complex shipments from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of air export operations, cargo documentation, airline booking procedures, and TSA/IAC security requirements. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring shipments move efficiently and compliantly. Responsibilities Coordinate international air export shipments from booking through delivery Prepare and process export documentation including airway bills and customs paperwork Communicate with airlines, carriers, warehouses, customers, and overseas agents Arrange airline bookings and monitor shipment status to ensure timely movement Ensure compliance with TSA/IAC cargo security regulations and export procedures Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal logistics systems Assist with EEI/ITN filing and Dangerous Goods (DG) shipment coordination when applicable Resolve shipment issues, delays, and operational challenges in a timely manner Support overall logistics operations and provide exceptional customer service Qualifications Experience in air freight forwarding, air export operations, and logistics coordination Strong understanding of international air cargo documentation and export procedures Familiarity with airline booking procedures and cargo handling processes Understanding of TSA/IAC cargo security requirements Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics/shipping software Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: The pay transparency policy is available here: For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
