This is a direct hire position meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit, vacation, and compensation upon hire! Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance Vacation, PTO, and paid holidays! 401k plus employer match Details: Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pay: $19 - $25 per hour Position Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and processing outgoing shipments of aluminum products to ensure timely, accurate, and damage-free deliveries. This role includes preparing shipping documents, verifying orders, communicating with carriers and internal teams, and maintaining organized shipping and inventory records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, etc.). Verify the accuracy and quality of outgoing orders, including product type, quantity, and packaging. Coordinate shipments with carriers, schedule pickups, and ensure proper loading of aluminum products. Maintain records of all shipping activities, update inventory systems, and document discrepancies. Communicate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to resolve shipping issues and prioritize orders. Inspect outgoing shipments for compliance with safety and quality standards. Assist with inventory counts and tracking, as needed. Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely, as required. Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols in all shipping activities. Address and resolve any shipping-related claims or customer complaints promptly. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred; experience with aluminum products or metals manufacturing a plus. Familiarity with shipping software, inventory systems, or ERP platforms preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification a plus). Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
